Comedy Extensions

I’m writing a new series for the Oakland Press called Oakland’s Last Laugh. It’s a series on the world of stand-up comedy in Michigan, primarily in Oakland County. It will run for the next seven weeks. The first article was on Bill Bushart and was published this last Sunday. If you didn’t get it in print, it will be available soon online.

In this series, I will be highlighting different comics who are making their mark in the clubs around Oakland County, Michigan. In addition, I will highlight a few stars that have left Michigan to claim their place on the boulevard of dreams. Each story will run in the Sunday edition in the arts section. If you don’t subscribe, then I suggest you do. It’ll be worth it. I promise.

As an extension to the series, I will blog parts of the interviews that did not make it to the paper. These will be more raw and candid, but will be just as informational and entertaining. Keep a look out for Comedy Extensions right here. Until then, go out and get a newspaper. Print isn’t dead yet.
